Ernest Gladwell, a mysterious singer-songwriter that barely exists online just debuted with the single ’AWAKE!’ an amped-up, richly-layered, post-punk dopamine rush. Built around a driving LinnDrum beat and melodic guitar arrangements a la Johnny Marr, it serves as the perfect companion to a summer night drive. The song was originally written & recorded in 1988 for the cancelled musical teen rom-com 'Violet Heights’.
The song is accompanied by a cool old-school visuals directed by James Ryan.
