Heavy June – Come back swinging
The best summer is when you swing to your favourite music. I can tell that you will COME BACK SWINGING to this song many times. One of our favourite summer anthems by band called Heavy June.
Grace Amos – Nothing to say
Sometimes it’s better to say nothing than to say too much. I could do that regarding Grace Amos newest release. Just listen to it. Seriously – it’s worth it. Girl rocks it! You can definitely say that looking at the picture of the cover the song. Did I mentioned that this rock beast is only 18?
NOTHING TO SAY a deeply relatable track about a person that talks a LOT…but really has nothing to say at all. The song is playful, youthful, confident, and decidedly edgy — everything Grace Amos encapsulates as an artist. It’s an irresistible rock track, inspired by Grace’s musical heroes Alanis Morrisette and Miley Cyrus. Distorted guitars chug alongside a pulsing beat, while Grace’s clear, assertive vocal takes centre stage. It’s her most mature offering yet, and sets the course for Grace’s upcoming EP; fans can expect more fire from this exciting young artist very, very soon.
Fionn – All Good
Girls take over the rock scene here. Vancouver duo Fionn recently released their psychedelic alt single “All Good.” This pop-rock piece proofs that strong girls are somewhere there! And they are not afraid to speak their mind out, that’s ALL very GOOD.
‘All Good’ is a psychedelic depiction of our first times crushing on girls. We’ve never released a song talking about this side of ourselves, but knew immediately what we wanted to say the first time we heard Kevvy Maher play the opening guitar riff. We wanted the lyrics to be trippy to depict the feeling of falling for people we didn’t know we were able to have feelings for, and the crazy infatuation that came along with those experiences.”
