Matt Lamb is a producer and songwriter that explores the electronic side of soulful R&B with his debut single Rain. And oh my! How we love debuts that leave us speechless. Rain at first seems to be an inconspicuous song that unexpectedly hits you harder and harder with every second. We can’t really tell what moves us more, Matt’s original vocals or the pitched ones. The combination of two with additional harmonies layers provides an ideal combo that is too short to not have it on replay.
Rain was written during the first lockdown and acts as a stark reminder to appreciate the good times as they may not always last “I wonder when the rain will come pouring down”. It’s the perfect track to accompany a late-night journey through the city.
