Only formed in the fall of 2020, North Carolina’s Whoop! has already evolved their weekly barn jams into a hugely relatable, charming debut album. It’s a record equally organic and tuneful, introspective and celebratory, stylistically diverse yet musically coherent – all connecting through vocalist Fal’s supple and soulful, sweet-but-street timbre.  

‘Feel Good’ the song we’re focusing on today is a pop-rock piece with a cool punky vibe and pretty straightforward lyrical layer. We love the rawness of guitars, drums and backing vocals that gives the song a real old-school punk-rock feel.

‘Feel Good’ is my favourite banger from the album. It’s so powerful and hypnotic. The words are pretty cut and dry. There are so many people who try to bring you down with their negativity. They will really try to bring you down low to their level. I guess with feeling low comes loneliness. This track is a big punch at those people.
