Mothé, the moniker of American non-binary artist Spencer Fort, has just shared their new single “Claw,” a captivating piece of electro-pop music out now via DVG Records.
Previously known for their more introspective pop songs with catchy hooks, Mothé is taking their new sound outside. “Claw” uses aggressive basses and intentionally slurred, intoxicated vocals to take the listener to a place they’ve never been, yet it all feels familiar.

The track vividly captures the sensation of being in the middle of a sweaty dance floor, locked into one person, with themes of public intimacy and desire that refuses to be hidden . This raw and provocative narrative is set against a backdrop of thumping bass and lush synth textures, creating a memorable listening experience packed with energy, passion, and confidence.
Between their live band tours, Mothé has become an integral part of the Los Angeles party scene as a DJ, allowing the after-hours to influence their otherwise sparkly pop production.
“Claw” is the first single from Mothé’s upcoming album, Total Popstar, signaling a bold new direction in their musical journey.
