Multi platinum, award winning artist Loreen returns with her new single Coming Close, released one week ahead of her upcoming album Wildfire.
Following the darker and more intense energy of Wildfire, Coming Close introduces a more expansive and uplifting direction. Co written with Andrew Jackson, Joe Housley and Charlie Martin, the track explores themes of awareness, connection and emotional clarity. It focuses on the idea of cutting through distraction and noise to reconnect with something more grounded and meaningful.

Loreen says:
“Even in a world that can feel distorted, there is something true rising underneath it all. For me, Coming Close is about learning to see beyond that distortion, and realising that everything around us is alive, connected, and rooted in love. It’s a collective awakening, something subtle but powerful and you can feel it getting closer and closer.”
The single builds anticipation for Wildfire, a project that has been in development for over a decade. The album will include previously released tracks such as Feels Like Heaven, co written with Sia, as well as Is It Love and the global hit Tattoo, which topped charts in more than ten countries.
Alongside the release, Loreen has also announced the Wildfire Tour, which will visit seven countries including the UK, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland and the Netherlands. The tour opens in Dublin on 22 September 2026 and will travel through cities including Glasgow, Manchester and London, before concluding in Amsterdam.
With a catalogue that includes tracks like Euphoria, Loreen continues to build a body of work centred around themes of identity, emotion and connection. With Coming Close, she offers a more direct and accessible entry point into the world of Wildfire, setting the tone for the full album release.
