La Femme is a dynamic French psych-punk rock band that first emerged onto the scene in 2010, founded by guitarist Sacha Got and keyboardist Marlon Magnée in the coastal town of Biarritz. Over the years, the band has evolved with the addition of several members, including former lead singer Clémence Quélennec (until 2019), bassist Sam Lefevre, drummer Noé Delmas, and Lucas Nunez. Additional contributors to their eclectic sound include Clara Luciani, Jane Peynot, and Marilou Chollet.
Renowned for their distinctive blend of synthetic and hypnotic music, La Femme’s sonic palette draws inspiration from a diverse range of genres, including cold wave, punk, and yéyé. Influenced by iconic artists such as Sparks, The Velvet Underground, and Kraftwerk, the band has carved out a unique niche in the music industry.
We had the pleasure of experiencing an ecstatic concert at the Warsaw Palladium club, where the crowd was hypnotized, reminiscent of the rock 'n’ roll concerts of the Beatles or Elvis Presley from back in the day. It was an undoubtedly fantastic experience, and we managed to capture the atmosphere in the photographs below.
