Irish singer-songwriter Holly Munro is making waves once again, continuing to shape and redefine the indie pop scene with the release of her latest single, ‘Dead Ends’. Hot on the heels of a breakthrough 2023, Munro’s new track explores the fragile balance between choice and consequence, urging us to reflect on the paths we take—or don’t take—in life. It’s a song full of introspection, and like all great indie pop, it’s got heart and hooks to match.

I wrote this song after finishing a meditation that involved seeing my footprints in the sand from above. It got me thinking about my life as one big journey with all these powerful detours along the way—some paths you start on but never continue, just as some parts of yourself remain unexplored.

With her evocative lyricism and ethereal vocal style, Munro is no stranger to exploring life’s more intimate, introspective corners. The video for ‘Dead Ends,’ filmed at the same beach where she had the meditation that inspired the song, is a simple, poignant reflection of this.
