Chloe Moriondo is back, and she’s making waves—literally. The US indie-pop darling has kicked off 2025 with the release of her wistful new single, “Shoreline,” and the announcement of an ambitious 20-date US/Canada tour set for April and May. A fitting follow-up to her 2024 contribution to the LIFE IS STRANGE universe, “Shoreline” solidifies Moriondo’s knack for creating deeply emotional, cinematic tracks that stay with you long after the last note.
Co-written and produced by Chloe Kraemer (known for work with The Japanese House), “Shoreline” is an aching exploration of breakup aftermath. Over a backdrop of dreamy, pulsing synths, Moriondo’s sweet-yet-forlorn vocals deliver lines like, “You’re still so mean and sweet at the same time / left me alone on the shoreline / washed up and waiting at high tide.” The track masterfully blends her signature honesty with a soundscape that feels both intimate and expansive, pulling listeners into her world of heartbreak and healing.
Moriondo describes the song as incredibly personal, saying:
Shoreline’ is very near and dear to my heart. It encapsulates a lot of the feelings that came from my first big breakup, and I poured a lot of myself into it. I hope it’s gently loved
