How long we’ve been waiting for an artist that surprises us with every song they write. Even though Anna hasn’t blown up yet she deserves it 1000% and we’re sure she will be booking the biggest venues around the world soon.
Anna Shoemaker is a Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter and producer described by NYLON as ‘Brooklyn’s own Olivia Rodrigo” but come on…we personally think she’s something more than just a rock version of the mainstream pop star.
Her latest single ‘Everything is Fine’ is an excellent metaphor of being truly effed in the A but pretending everything’s fine. Who hasn’t been there? Combining alt-leaning production with intoxicating pop melodies and notably honest lyricism, Anna’s songs capture the turmoil, charm and introspection of young adulthood. She has become quite the indie-pop darling over the years.
